Overview
ePAWs 2.0 was designed with the user in mind; with a similar look/feel to eCLAWs, the application asks familiar questions in a way that’s easy to complete your Proposal, Transaction, and Award setup.
ePAWs 2.0 provides the option to create a re-usable “ePAWs Budget“ or upload an Excel budget.
The benefits of creating and using an ePAWs Budget are:
- ePAWs Budgets serve as the draft/baseline budget that can be used for multiple projects
- Proposal budget can be modified/revised at JIT, award acceptance and rebudgeting
- Costs for future budget periods can be automatically generated with the inflation rate of 3%
- Institutional rates are built-in
- Budget elements are automatically populated into the proposal
- Allows for deeper data analysis, e.g. which projects have students, which have travel, etc., so if any restrictions come up, it is easier to analyze and communicate the impact
Getting Started
- Log into ePAWs, select your ePAWs role (e.g. College Administrator, Principal / Investigator)
From the “I’d like to…” menu, select “Route a Proposal”
