Users of ePAWs 2.0 can update their personal profile, a feature which is of particular value for Faculty Investigators in their efforts to maintain a comprehensive outline of their expertise, interests, and resources. This information can be used to improve expert discovery, and enhance funding opportunity matching.

To update your Personal Profile in ePAWs 2.0, log into the application, and select the dropdown icon near your name, and select Profile:

The Personal Profile contains information from Workday HR; it also contains other fields that can be customized by the user. While you cannot change Workday HR data in ePAWs (view only), you can add corrections/additional data elements that will remain part of your Personal Profile in ePAWs, and used in research applications in the system.

Updating the Personal Profile

General Information

• In General Information, Workday HR information on Name, Citizenship, Degrees, and a high level view of the Employment Information are shown
• Name, Citizenship, and Degree fields allow the user to add new entries but not change Workday HR information
  • To change Workday HR information, contact your HR rep and make updates in Workday - the changes will be captured in ePAWs
• The Citizenship and Degree fields have dropdown selections with the options from Workday pre-loaded
• Multiple degrees can be added to ePAWs by selecting “Add Degree…”

Employment & Appointments

• In Employment & Appointments, Workday HR data on the users appointment can be viewed; you can add a position as applicable
• Insert the details about the additional appointment and select “Add”

Research Interests & Resources

• Areas of Interests
  • This section of the profile is where users can insert information on Research Areas of Interest, including keyword identifiers, SciENcv URL, Geographic location, and allows upload of your CV.
• Affiliations
  • This section allows for insertion of any NU, NU Affiliate, or other organization affiliations
• F&A Credit Split/Share Default
  • This section is used for Indirect Cost Return calculations for Faculty members who are related to an Institute or Center, and has been pre-populated with credit splits provided by the Provost Office.
• Facilities & Spaces
  • This section is used to list facilities and spaces associated with the user. Information on locations associated with the user have been loaded to ePAWs and the personal profile, with one location listed as the default place of performance. The user can change the default place of performance or add new facilities & spaces.
    • Note: changing facilities & spaces in ePAWs does not currently update Archibus, the university system of record.
• Equipment
  • This section is used to list equipment associated with the user

Training

• This section is used to list training completed by the user
  • Future enhancement: connect Workday training to ePAWs to display completed training stored in Workday
